March 2000—A meeting on March 7, with Michigan Secretary of State, Candice Miller, discussed the use of my White Shoal Lighthouse image on the specialty license plates. The legislation passed on March 16, 2000, approving approximately 20 different subjects. Of the 20 subjects, lighthouses were third behind U of M and MSU in a survey conducted at the Detroit Auto Show. I have donated the use of this image as excess proceeds form the sale of plates will be used for the maintenance and restoration of Michigan’s lighthouses. It appears any copyright issues will be resolved, and we might expect the plates to be available April 1, 2001.

February 2000 - September 7, 2000—Monroe, Michigan: Exhibit, (Note: Exhibit extended). Monroe County Historical Museum, 126 S. Monroe Street, Monroe, Michigan, 48161.
